What is the difference between baseball and football cleats. I am using the baseball cleats for flag football.

I looked at a couple side by side, to be exact, the Adidas %26quot;Corner Blitz%26quot; was the youth football shoe. They had the %26quot;triple Star mid 5%26quot;, also Adidas in my size. It look identical to the corner blitz with the exception of more cleat in the ball of the foot area. It looks like I would get better traction with the baseball cleats.

My hubby says that when he played through high school, he tried using his football cleats into baseball season. He says the actual cleat wore out faster. The material for baseball cleats is made so that it will last longer going from infield to outfield surfaces. Many high end football shoes have removable/replaceable cleats.

Another difference is that baseball cleats are not made to %26#039;cut%26#039; so they will look more like flattened teeth instead of rounded. The difference is not as noticable until the player gets older and more competitive. Once into college level baseball, the cleats can be metal instead of hard plastic.
Reply:one is made for baseball and the other for football
Reply:Baseball cleats are not made to make sharp cuts, football cleats have more grip, you might want to soccer cleats.
