What is the difference between a soccer shoe and a football shoe?

The soccer team has to wear softer shoes so if they kick someone it will not hurt.

Football cleats will hurt

What is the difference between a soccer shoe and a football shoe?
soccer shoes are made of different uppers such as kangaroo leather, full grain leather etc. you can buy different priced soccer shoes depending on what grade of leather you want. soccer players need to worry about the leather because you touch teh ball with your shoes. Report It

Reply:Soccer shoes are made for soccer and football shoes are made for football. If they look similar, it does not matter. The manufacturer determines the use of the shoe, and we purchase them accordingly. In other words, the difference lies in name only. It does not matter that they look the same.
Reply:A soccer shoe has the rubber things on the bottom and none on the toe, football shoes do.
Reply:the person wearing it
Reply:well first of all there called cleats not shoes....secondly just looking at them the football cleats are bigger whereas the soccer cleats look smaller and lighter most likely because they have to do a lot more endurance running where football is just sprinting and jogging....lastly the big difference is that on a football cleat and only on a football cleat they have a toe stud....one little stud at the front which is not aloud in rugby and probably not in soccer.......the reason why its not aloud in rugby is because it would hurt a lot in the scrum....if you look at soccer and rugby cleats they have 2 at the front where in football its just one.....and what the guy said about ankle support is probably right too
Reply:men wear football shoes!!
Reply:cleats and also if looking for afoot ball shoe and playing line or line backer consider hi tops the add some support to ankles
